The lifespan is an indication of the number of hours a product will last. This refers only to the hours the product is actually on. LED lighting has a significantly longer lifespan than conventional lighting. LED lighting therefore lasts much longer. How long you can actually use a product depends on the extent of its (daily) use. |
Average Lifetime (h) | 60000 |

The technology indicates the operating base of a light source. The most well-known and energy-efficient example is LED. Other techniques include Halogen, gas discharge, TL (fluorescent) and the light bulb.

Dimmable bulbs work in combination with a dimmer switch and allow you to determine the desired light output. Dimming also provides energy saving potential because less power is required when the lamp is producing less light.

The cap/base of a bulb is the part that connects it to the socket in the fixture. E27 (Edison screw) and E24 (small Edison screw) caps/bases are among the most popular, although this depends on your location. GU10 is generally the most common cap/base for spotlights. Check which cap/base you need carefully as many other types are also available.

Because you can set the direction of the light yourself, a rotatable LED tube is extra efficient with energy. Moreover, the light does not shine around 360 degrees unnecessarily, as is the case with conventional fluorescent tubes.

![]() The colour code is a combination of colour rendering (CRI) and light colour (Kelvin). The first number indicates the colour rendering (1 = very poor colour rendering, 9 = maximum colour fastness). The second and third number contains the light colour. Example: the colour code 830 consists of good colour rendering (8) and warm white light (3000K). |

Colour rendering is also known as Colour Rendering Index (CRI) and indicates the extent to which a light source reproduces colours, compared to the actual colours in daylight. Products with a good (80-89 Ra) or excellent (90-99 Ra) colour rendering show minimal deviations in the colour spectrum.

Colour Rendering (Ra) | 80-89 |

The light color indicates the color of the light emitted: white, colored, or UV. For many products in our assortment, the light is white, available in a range from very warm white to daylight white (expressed in Kelvin). With colored light, you have two options: 1. A single fixed color, such as red or green. 2. RGBW, which means you can adjust the light color at any time: white or colored.

The colour control type tells you in which way you can regulate the colour of the light. You have the following options:
By choosing your preferred light colour options, you are one step closer to the right light product. |

The Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) indicates how efficiently a light source uses energy. We divide the number of lumens by the wattage. The higher the number, the more efficient a product is in terms of energy consumption. LED lighting has a considerably higher lumen/Watt ratio than conventional lighting.

Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) | 161.3 |

Lighting with a sensor only turns on when it receives a specific signal. This reduces energy costs. The (built-in) sensors respond to darkness (twilight switch) and/or movement (motion sensor).

You need a LED starter if the fluorescent lighting in your current fixture also contains a starter. In that case, you have a fixture with a conventional ballast (EM). A LED starter replaces your current starter and ensures that a LED tube works.

A ballast can be seen as an energy regulator that switches on the lighting. Is there a starter in the fixture? Then this is a conventional ballast (EM). Fixtures with an electronic ballast (HF) don't have a starter. A LED driver can be compared to an electronic ballast and only works with LED lighting.

MASTER series
The MASTER series EM UO LED tubes from Philips are perfect for those looking for energy-efficient lighting that has a long lifespan. They have an impressive lumen-to-watt ratio and deliver far more lumens per watt than fluorescent tubes. The rotating G13 caps make it easy to install them in fixtures that have a conventional ballast and the starter you need is included too! This T8 tube is 120 cm long.
UO: Ultra Output
While the Philips High Output LED tubes deliver lots of light, the Ultra Output LED tubes go a step further. In fact, they deliver 15% more light and this tube emits a total of 2500 lumens. If circumstances demand more light, therefore, this LED tube delivers it.
Energy savings of +57%
One of the biggest advantages of LED lighting is that it can produce the same amount of light as fluorescent lighting using much less energy. This LED tube uses just 15.5 watts of power to replace a fluorescent tube that uses 36 watts, for instance. That means energy savings of more than 57%! Unsurprisingly, this tube has the best possible energy label of A++.
Long lifespan
The lifespan of an LED tube is much longer than a fluorescent tube too. Whereas a fluorescent tube typically has a lifespan of around 10,000 hours, this LED tube lasts up to 60,000 hours! The combination of energy efficiency and a long lifespan means that you quickly earn back the cost of your initial investment and carry on saving money throughout the LED tube's entire lifespan.
Suitable for different areas
The Philips MASTER LEDtube EM UO is suitable for use in a wide variety of areas including factories, warehouses, parking garages and transportation hubs. Thanks to its Ultra Output, it's ideal for ceilings that are over 4 metres in height too. This LED tube has a beam angle of 160°.
Cool white - 4000K
A colour temperature of 4000K means that this tube emits a cool white light that helps to keep people focussed and alert. That's why this colour temperature is often chosen for use in offices or classrooms.
